Never Talk To Strangers!

If there's one thing you can learn from this movie, its never talk to strangers! Yes, your mother was right...strangers can kill you, or at least these ones can. Based on a true story, The Strangers is about a young couple who plan on spending a romantic evening at their country home, but end up in a situation that neither of them had expected.

I'll have to admit the movie tended to move along a little slow for my liking, but other than that this movie kept my biting my nails waiting for what would happen next. I, like everyone else in the theater, wanted so badly for the couple to survive (Of course whether or not they survive is for you to find out on your own.)

The Haunting In Connecticut

Even though I am a huge fan of scary movies, this movie topped them all. Not only was it scary, but it had a great story line, and you can't help but drop a few tears. What makes The Haunting In Connecticut that much scarier is the fact that it is based on true events.

The Campbells have a son who has a terminal illness, and the only hospital that can treat him is in Connecticut, hours away from their home. Seeing their son in a great amount of pain, the family decides to buy a house
in Connecticut. They find a house that seems too good to be true, and they later find out that it is.

Although it started out somewhat slow, as the plot thickened, so did the suspense. You were left guessing what would happen next the whole time, and each character had a story to tell. This movie is great to watch with your significant other, because this is a movie even guys have to admit is scary and touching. Whether they will admit it out loud to you is a different story, but trust me...they will  be scared.

Ohh Those Bad Boys...

It's no secret why I liked this movie....but that (or he should i say) isn't the only reason why I liked this movie. Bad Boys II was a terrific action movie with some of the most perfect actors such as Will Smith (of course) Martin Lawrence, and Gabrielle Union.

This intense sequel gave as strong of a story line as the first Bad Boys, except this one had a few more interesting stunts, like cars being thrown on a highway (bet you'll never see that in real life.)

I'll keep this short and sweet, as a movie like this needs no introduction. Overall your guy will absolutely LOVE this movie. It's full of action, suspense, and did I mention violence? You'll also love it to, as there is plenty of eye candy in this movie...if you know what I mean.

I Invite You To See This...

The first half of this movie was shockingly awful...at least that's what I was thinking watching it. But as the movie went on, and new twists were introduced, this movie actually turned out to be pretty good.

The Uninvited
tells the story of a family with a lot of secrets. Anna, played by Emily Browning, is a young girl who is traumatized by the death of her mother due to a house fire. Although Anna doesn't remember the frightening night the fire happened, she knows that her father's new girlfriend, whom was once her sick mother's nurse, had something to do with it. By the end of the movie, you think you know how the movie will play out...but boy will you be wrong.

Besides the shocking twist at the end, the plot was not very thought out. Supposedly this movie was a remake of a recent Japanese film called "A Tale of Two Sisters." I would have liked to have seen the original to discover if the plot was as boring as this one. I sat in front of my television thinking, "why is this movie so cliche?"

Luckily I watched until the end, and it was then that I decided to give this movie a chance. But if you have to wait until the end of the movie to be intrigued, then maybe this isnt a great movie to see if you or your guy aren't patient.

Surprisingly And Notoriously Good

One of the most important factors in a relationship is compromise, and during a recent outing with my best friend and our boyfriends, we had to compromise on a movie choice. Surprisingly, the compromise ended in an equally liked experience from all of us with the guys' movie choice.

I'm usually not the type to like hardcore hip-hip legend movies, but I have to admit that this movie surprised me. Notorious is the story of legendary rapper Christopher Wallace, most commonly known as Notorious BIG, and his rise to fame.

With all the sex, drugs and violence surrounding music, I did not expect for this movie to be as insightful and thought-provoking as it was. Although there were brief scenes of all the negativity previously named surrounding hip-hop music, the movie offered a very heart-felt plot, and it showed that every person, no matter from what background has a story to tell.

Notorious BIG grew up in Brooklyn New York, and quickly got involved with the negative activities of his neighborhood. However, the movie tells how Biggie turns his mistakes and misfortunes into learning experiences, and follows his dreams to become the legend he remains today, even after his death.

This movie is a great date movie, but ladies I'll have to say your guy may enjoy this one a little more than you, but you'll be intrigued none the less. But like I said before, compromise is a good thing, not just in making a movie choice...if you know what I mean.

Get Hitched

In case, you haven't noticed, I just can't get enough of this man. Not only is he one of THE sexiest men on this planet, he is also one of the best actors. Let's just say Jada Pinkett-Smith is a very lucky woman. But enough with my rambling...let's get on to this movie.

One movie I happened to watch with my boyfriend this weekend was Hitch, starring Will Smith as Hitch and Eva Mendes as Sara. Hitch is a secret date doctor who helps men land the woman of their dreams. Sara is a gossip columnist who writes about the secretive lives of celebrities and other important people. When Hitch and Sara's paths cross, interesting things happen, and Hitch soon realizes that even he has a few things to learn when it comes to women.

All the while, Hitch takes on his most interesting case yet with Albert Brenneman, a clumsy and carefree accountant. His client Allegra Cole, a rich and almost untouchable woman, catches his eye, and he enlists the help of Hitch to help him win her heart.

Overall, this movie is a great movie to see with a date. It just shows that even a guy that seems to be perfect (well, Will Smith just may be) has a lot to learn when it comes to love. This is a movie that guys can learn a lot from, and women can be blown away by the beautiful love stories intertwined within the movie.
