No Date? No Worries!

The only day some women would rather be dead than dateless would be good 'ol Valentines Day. While all your friends with dates are out enjoying their night, you're sitting at home with a tub of Ben and Jerrys chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream damning Cupid for not shooting you this year.
Although, I admit, it does kind of bite not being in love by the time February 14th comes along, but hey...what about your girlfriends? The ones who are single just like you? Instead of you all spending money on separate tubs of Ben and Jerry's, how about you all get together, split the cost, and watch a fantastic movie about the power of women, fittingly called The Women.

Decked out with a phenomenal cast of the most prominent female actors such as Meg Ryan, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Eva Mendes, this remake of Greg Cukor's 1939 classic movie is the poster child of the power that women share when they are together.

Mary, played by Meg Ryan, is a married mother who has become complacent and let herself go. Her three best friends, one prominent businesswoman, one stay-at-home mother, and one lesbian, are shocked to find out that Mary's husband has been cheating on her with a Macy's perfume clerk. After Mary discovers her husband's affair, she files for divorce, and the journey to breaking free from her husband and finding herself begins, and of course her best friends are there to see her through the way.

This movie is absolutely perfect for a night in with a few of your very best friends and a tub of Ben and Jerry's chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Not only does the movie show the power of a woman, it shows the power that a group of women can have, and how much we need each other along the way.

Even Roger Ebert gives this movie three stars ladies, and he's a guy. So imagine how much you and your girlfriends will love it!
